Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated Barbie film has unveiled a new teaser trailer and I have no idea what the movie is all about but it looks good. Featuring not just Margot Robbie but Dua Lipa, America Ferrera and Helen Mirren as the narrator, it appears the movie is set to make Barbie cool again. Adding to the star-studded cast is Ryan Gosling as one of the Kens along with Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa and Micheal Cera (!). A Barbie multiverse if you will. There’s also the full-on Barbie world complete with the pink dollhouse, pink convertibles and pink everything.
“Welcome to Barbie Land, did you bring your rollerblades?” the film’s official Instagram account posted alongside the trailer.

A running gag in the Barbie character posters is that each Barbie actor is playing a Barbie with a special profession and all the Kens are playing… Kens. Emma Mackey’s Barbie has a Nobel prize in physics, Ana Cruz Kayne is a Supreme Court Justice and Issa Rae’s Barbie is president. We love to see it.
Aqua’s Barbie Girl hasn’t made it to the trailers yet if you were wondering but if you’ve got the song stuck in your head since the teaser dropped you’re not the only one. While the full cast has now been released, plot details are still under wraps. Check out the character posters here.
