Are you really a South Aussie if you don’t rave about confectionery, Menz FruChocs to your interstate mates? It’s a debatable statement that’s for sure. Whack on a can of Adelaide’s very own Big Shed Brewing beer and it’s a winning South Australian (SA) combo. And now, the two companies have joined forces to bring us their new, annual collaboration in the form of BruChocs beer.
The new BruChocs which is worthy for the Gods comes after the great popularity of previous Big Shed Brewing and FruChocs collabs, including their 2021 Dark Cherry beer and the FruSour; and even a white chocolate raspberry oat cream IPA.
But for the 2022 BruChocs beer, we’re in for a treat. Inspired by recent crafty beer trends, the new FruChocs Smoothie Sour is the perfect combination of creaminess from punchy apricots and peaches.
Big Shed Brewing owner, Craig Basford explained that, “after last year’s success with our FruSour we couldn’t wait to get back into creating a new flavour inspired by the smoothie sour hype.
“It sounds weird, but the style brings the tartness of sour style beers and adds a whole lot of fruit puree to thicken and sweeten it. The resulting beer is unlike any that those outside the craft beer world would’ve tried.
“Expect a thick pouring liquid, absolutely bursting with apricot and peach goodness. It’s a party in your mouth and everyone’s invited,” Craig shares.
While Menz CEO, Phil Sims says, “We’ve loved partnering with Big Shed Brewing over the last few years and this years’ beer is really taking things to the next level.
“Finding a way to tap into trends in craft beer and incorporate our signature FruChocs flavours is always a fun challenge and I think the smoothie sour is one of the Big Shed team’s best results to date!” Phil says.
