Christmas is just around the corner, which means the time-consuming task of buying gifts for our nearest and dearest. But some people are easy to buy for, and others a tad more tricky. This is where Christmas markets come in handy—and not only for unique gifts that your friends and family will love but also for supporting local businesses. Plant 4 Bowden is home to the weekly farmers’ markets and hip in-house eateries we know and love. Now, the industrial-chic venue is joining forces with its sister space, Plant 3 Bowden for their huge annual Christmas Gift Market on Sunday 12 December.
This year, we can expect both Plant 3 and Plant 4 to come alive with Christmas cheer, with an array of live music and local Adelaide makers who craft handmade gifts. Think spinners, weavers, sewers, and more selling creations for all ages. A huge plant sale will cover the ground floor, and there’ll also be a kids zone to keep the little ones occupied while you tick off that Christmas shopping list.
Highlights
With plenty of indoor and outdoor, you can also tuck into a feed from one of Plant 4’s permanent eateries. My Grandma Ben is a winner for all your brunch and coffee desires, Cakeboy Donuts to satisfy your sweet tooth, then Bloom Burgers, Real Felafel, Joe Dumpling and more for lunchtime choices. The bar in Plant 4 will also be serving up local South Australian wine, craft beer, cold-pressed juice, cocktails, and kombucha on tap. Plant 3 on the other hand only opened its doors in July this year but is already home to Bowden Brewing, Bowden Cellars, an epic burger joint, and a hairdresser.
The Christmas Markets at Plant 3 and Plant 4 Bowden is free entry and will run from 9 am – 3 pm.
