Amidst the shocking weather that we’ve been having recently, there appears to be at least some light (hopefully sunlight) at the end of the tunnel beaming from the shores of Glenelg. The iconic Moseley Beach Club has announced that they’ll be returning to the sands this summer.
Come Saturday 3 December, Glenelg Beach will see a myriad of beach umbrellas poppin’ open, bangin’ live tunes will start flowin’, and summery food and drinks will be within arm’s reach.
The pristine locale is the ideal spot to fantasise about a European getaway – with The Moseley Beach Club taking inspiration from the Greek islands this season. The food and drink offerings will exude a Mediterranean flare, as well as the styling and design of the joint.
This year the Club has partnered with South Australian brands including Shaw & Smith and Pirate Life Brewing; and Operations Director, Luke Donaldson says, “Our commitment to the community is of great importance, as we aim to work with as many local traders, suppliers and producers as possible in order to showcase the best of South Australia, alongside our pledge to work diligently ensuring we preserve the environment.
“Supporting the live music industry in SA at this time is also crucial to us, as they’ve suffered alongside hospitality during this pandemic. We will see more than 100 performances to keep beachgoers entertained, as DJs and live acoustic musicians will perform daily,” Luke shares.
A whopping 50,000 beachgoers visited The Moseley Beach Club last summer, having generated more than $5.8 million in tourism dollars spent in the local economy. And this time around, there’s expected to be a whole lot more, as this is the first time in two seasons that international borders are open.
The Moseley Beach Club will be up and running from Saturday 3 December 2022 until the end of March 2023 with live music, free entry daily and bookings available to be made. Here’s to hoping La Nina backs off a tad!
