The news has sent shock-waves around the world, and South Australians have been encouraged by Premier Peter Malinauskas to turn on your porch lights to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Premier Peter Malinauskas also announced the opening of a tribute site on the grounds of Government House on North Terrace over the next two weeks between 7am and 9pm, where you can also sign a condolence book to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
Premier Peter Malinauskas has released a statement and said that not all South Australians will be able to lay a tribute at Government House or sign the condolence book, thus turning on your porch light is “a very basic and humble recognition of the Queen’s service to our state,” Malinauskas comments.
