If you’re a purveyor of baked goods and glutenous treats, then you’ll be pleased to know that crowd favourite, Jenny’s Bakery is opening a second store to the east of the city.
Norwood is the lucky suburb that’ll become sibling to the original Jenny’s Bakery in Eastwood, which has been serving up all things flour for the past three decades.
The announcement for Jenny’s second location was made via a social media post, stating that, “(This is) a long-time dream of ours and 30 years in the making, we can’t wait to see you soon!”
If you’re unfamiliar with the powerhouse bakehouse, Jenny’s cakes are made fresh each and every day at their Eastwood store. Wafting scents of crisping sweets and savouries are no stranger to passersby.
Unique creations draw the crowds in, as well as classic bakery fare. Jenny’s latest concoction is the pandan croissant, followed by the smores danish loaded with chocolate custard and toasted marshmallows.
Many a cronut (croissant-donut) line Jenny’s cabinet too, with flavours including Caramilk hedgehog, Kinder Bueno, and lemon meringue – to name a few.
But if sugary goods aren’t on your radar, Jenny’s Bakery has no shortage of Roman-style pizzas topped with the likes of shaved leg ham, olives, and oozy bocconcini.
Or perhaps sink your teeth into a bagel stuffed with Sriracha scrambled egg and chorizo. Get ’em while they’re hot!
If you decide it’s high time to visit the eastern suburb of Norwood, check out our neighbourhood guide and make a day of it, with a scrumptious baked crumb in hand, of course.
It has not yet been revealed when Jenny’s Bakery in Norwood will welcome in the hungry eyes of Adelaide.
