It’s that time of the year again when we’re blessed with seas of green for the annual St Patrick’s Day festivities. This Thursday, March 17, get into the Irish spirit by sinking a pint of Guinness (or Jameson if whisky’s more your vibe) to celebrate our mates from Ireland.
If your idea of a craic-ing good time involves live music, you’ll want to go and see THE TIMBERS at Arkaba Hotel. Kicking off at 7pm and part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, this event will take you away to a land of Celtic folk tunes, thumping beats, and energy paired well with a pint. Tickets are $20 and you can purchase yours here.
If you’re looking for something a little more traditional, though, then head to the main room at The Gov for Big Irish Festival from 6pm – 11pm. Here you can expect to find traditional Irish dishes, Guinness and Jameson specials, as well as Irish pipers, dancers, and eight-piece Irish pub band Kelly’s Wayke who are based in Adelaide.
There will also be a whole day St Patrick’s Day celebration at Mick O’Shea’s Hotel and a more late-night vibe at Norwood Hotel.
