We all love a good wine tour, but sometimes the hassle of getting out to the countryside and making sure you’ve found a reliable designated driver to take you out and about can be a struggle. Well, struggle no more; say hello to Urban Wine Walk – a self-guided wine trail that’s coming to Norwood on Saturday 5 August.
The Urban Wine Walk will see the streets of the eastern suburb come alive with a line-up of the best pubs and bars turning into a cellar door festival of sorts – with each venue offering tastings of delicious wines from eight South Australian winemakers.
As you bounce from each locale, tipsy stumbles around the streets won’t be an uncommon sight, come the boozy Saturday. Luckily, each participating venue is conveniently located within walking distance from each other. Simply decide which spot you’d like to start from and you’re off! It’s basically a glorified pub crawl, but fancier and with wine.
The Urban Wine Walk will unify: Alma Tavern, Ferg’s Stepney, Khou by Signature Wines, Lambrook Wines, Little Bang Brewing Co., Reform Distilling, Republic, and The Maid.
And the juicy wine labels on offer will be: Hither & Yon, Massey Wines, Signature Wines, Lambrook Wines, Unico Zelo, Forage Supply Co., Sherrah Wines, and Fulltimes Fantasy.
With all these tastings you’re likely going to be super into at least one of them in particular, and as luck would have it, your Urban Wine Walk ticket includes a $25 voucher for event day wine orders.
Obviously, hanger is imminent too, so your ticket includes a $10 food voucher to spend at your nominated starting venue, before 1pm.
Get on down to Norwood between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday 5 August and shake off those La Nina blues. Secure your tickets here.
