Dan Murphy’s Glenelg has opened its first South Australian drive-thru bottle-o, just in time for Christmas. The new full-service drive-thru outlet popped up over the weekend, making it easier than ever to stock up on booze, especially over the festive season when you want to save time. The liquor giant began experimenting with the drive-thru offering in Sydney last year. And now that it’s hit our home state, it really is a game-changer for scoring the widest variety of booze at a cheap price.
All you have to do is pull up your car, place an order with a team member and then wait until they deliver the order to your car. Sounds epic, especially in the thick of summer, when leaving the air con of the car is like stepping into a sauna. The super handy drive-thru format isn’t the only reason to pay Dan Murphy’s Glenelg a visit, though. This outlet stocks a hyper-localised range of liquor, which means you can try all the local drops—all in one place.
South Australia’s second-largest Dan Murphy’s store on Tapley’s Hill Road also offers a drive-thru service, but only for online pick-up orders. There are currently 19 Dan Murphy’s stores in South Australia.
