Itching for a holiday to the Mediterranean but can’t quite rustle up the dosh thanks to cozzie livs? Well, those cost-of-living prices better pipe down for a hot minute, because there’s a free Greek-themed day en route to Glenelg Beach.
Come Sunday 2 April, the seaside hotspot that is Moseley Beach Club will be host to their Taste Of Greece party that is set to see out Adelaide’s final summery days and the club’s season end.
As you lounge around amongst the myriad of beach umbrellas, enjoy traditional live music, delicious Greek fare, refreshing cocktails, as well as the stunning oceanic sights, of course.
The pristine locale is the ideal spot to fantasise about a Grecian getaway, and from 12pm an indulgent spit-roasted lamb will be cooked right in front of your eyes, just like on the islands. Sorry veggie friends, look away.
And to add to that simple summery lifestyle in The Med atmosphere, live music will be wafting across the Moseley Beach Club with talented artists plating the bouzouki and darbuka during the afternoon. Not doing the grapevine isn’t an option.
But if you’d rather watch the chaos, you can kick back around a table or go the ultimate laze day and book one a luxe day bed; payment for these are redeemable at the bar – cozzie livs, take that! But if you’re after a spot in the sun, single lounges are also available to book for either an afternoon or sunset session.
A whopping 50,000 beachgoers visited The Moseley Beach Club last summer, having generated more than $5.8 million in tourism dollars spent in the local economy. It’s only appropriate to push those numbers further this year.
The Moseley Beach Club’s Taste Of Greece soiree will go down on Sunday 2 April from 12pm until late at Glenelg Beach – opa!
