It’s official – it’s well and truly winter – and we’re certainly feeling the chill. Luckily, keeping warm whilst exploring Adelaide and seeing the sights in the cooler months is a definite possibility with the return of the Moseley Igloos.
Glenelg is the hotspot for such things this year, with Moseley Square home to the igloos from now all the way through until Monday 4 September 2023.
Cosy up inside one of the two see-through domes with your friends, family, or foes, all whilst feasting on a hearty meal and sipping a warming wine within the sheltered confine.
Complete with a fireplace and blankets, the European-inspired igloos are a slice of luxury – you’ll be feeling that when your personal waiter tends to your dining needs from the comfort of your igloo.
The adjacent Moseley Bar and Kitchen are the team behind the igloos and this year the chefs have designed a new menu with a focus on local produce.
If you’re food-forward, opt for the three-course ‘feed me’ menu with a wine pairing, or simply dine a la carte and get into some cocktails if drinking if more your clique’s thing. There’s even a shared paella option to stuff yourself with this winter.
Think: seared sesame-crusted tuna, mixed grain coconut dahl, barramundi and prawn laksa, and Murray Valley honey soy pork cutlet amongst the selections.
As far as drinks go, exclusive igloo cocktails have been created with the likes of the boozy hot chocolate, smoreflake martini, winterberry martini, and choc mint martini.
The Moseley Igloos are up for experiencing in selected session times running from 2.5 hours from 11am until close. Watch the world go by and the raindrops trickle down the transparent dome as you ponder the meaning of life – something like that.
