Name a better place to be than by the beach in springtime; soaking up the baby sun rays before the intensity of summer strikes. Well, come the very end of September, the Semaphore Music Festival will be the hotspot for doing such thing whilst enjoying an array of live entertainment.
Held across Friday 30 September until Sunday 2 October, The Semaphore Music Festival is set to present a blues, roots and folk focused line-up across multiple venues including the Semaphore Worker’s Club, The Fed, Mr V Music, and the Semaphore Palais Hotel, plus a record fair at St Bede’s Church Hall.
In celebration of the long weekend, the festival will see a beachside show on the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve on Monday 3 October, Beach Blanket Picnic. The sunny afternoon will see local acts Cookie Baker, Ollie English, Lilac Cove, Kelly Menhennett and Ukulele Death Squad conclude the weekend festivities with a bang.
Taking to the stages around Semaphore are headlining artists: Kings & Associates, Lazy Eye, Undercover, Sunsick Daisy, Somnium, CBBGs, Velvet Moth, Frankie & Savva, and Urban Youth – to name a few of the musically talented folk for 18th year of the Semaphore Music Festival.
The musical concoctions will be going off during the afternoons and evenings of the long weekend, with some shows drifting on until the A.M. – so make sure you get a good night sleep beforehand!
There are limited pre-sale tickets available now for each session at the Semaphore Workers Club and for the Beach Blanket Picnic – grab ’em using the link below. But if you like to take it as it comes, tickets will be available at the door(s) if they haven’t sold out prior to each event.
Reel in the warmer weather the right way!
