You’ve heard of Australia’s Big Banana, and no doubt Gumeracha’s Big Rocking Horse – well soon to add to the list of ‘big things’ Down Under is the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest gym right here in South Australia.
Taking up residence in the former Holden Factory in Elizabeth, the Derrimut 24:7 Gym is set to offer a fitness experience for the ages.
With plans to open its doors in late-2023, the new Derrimut in Elizabeth will cover a massive 6,200 square metres of ground, with a possible increase in size. Talk about social distancing.
It ain’t all about size though – the facility will boast new digital training concepts, reformer Pilates, a basketball court, as well as new and improved amenities including saunas and plunge pools. Relax or work up a sweat – your choice.
And what’s a workout without a snack – a new Derrimut Nutrition Bar will be whipping up a variety of food and slinging juices, smoothies and coffee so you can keep those hydration and protein levels at all-time high.
A retail space plentiful with apparel, supplements, and nutrition stuffs will also claim a corner of the renovation where you can stock up on all your exercise potions.
South Australia’s biggest Derrimut 24:7 Gym is currently the Windsor Gardens local which takes up a hefty 5,000 square metres of land. So if you thought that was humongous, you’re in for a treat.
Derrimut’s vision is to have a whopping 300 gyms up and running both locally and internationally by the year 2030, aiming to lead the way in the health and fitness industry.
