Public service announcement – Dunfor Noodle Bar are shutting shop this Sunday on June 26. In other words, today and tomorrow is your last dang opportunity to get stuck into some quality noods.
Having only opened their doors last October, Dunfor has grown into what is now debatably the funkiest ramen joint in Adelaide. It’s a place where you can eat al fresco alongside the boozy patrons of neighbouring LOC Bottle Bar, who’s playful energy engulfs the bars’ shared pocket of Hindmarsh Square, often exuding a symphony of laughter amidst the city sounds. Or you can slurp inside, either works just fine.
One of their most recent bowls that’s been rolling out of their kitchen is the chicken shoyu, that being; slices of chicken paitan, niboshi shoyu tare, soy egg, fish powder and a whole heap of onion, along with vegan vessels containing the likes of pumpkin and roast miso noods. So expect a presentation of carefully curated ingredients.
Historically, Dunfor have supplied a few other goodies that aren’t quite ramen – so here’s to hoping that this weekend they leave their legacy with a collection of their side dishes too.
Get your grubby mitts on a steamy bowl of ramen between 12pm – 3pm and 5pm – late on both Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June. And ever-so poetically, as captioned on their very first Instagram post, ‘it was Dunfor in the end’.
Sayōnara, Dunfor Noodle Bar.
