Breaking the silence and bringing the noise (and we don’t say that lightly) to this year’s Adelaide Fringe are Momentarily, Buxton Walker and Les Commandos Percu with their spectacle, SILENCE!.
The Australian premiere of SILENCE! is showing for a quick three days only, where you can expect an explosive, eye-popping, pyrotechnical, and musical masterpiece headlined by the French globally acclaimed performance artists, Les Commandos Percu.
The spectacle will enliven Elder Park/Tarntanya with roving theatrical performances and art installations spilling across the Riverbank in the heart of the Adelaide CBD. It’s a mini festival of sorts, with local food and drinks in the picnic style precinct, and what not.
Buxton Walker Director, Michelle Buxton says the festival will be an evening of unique and immersive experiences across art and music.
“The offering will allow audiences of all ages to enjoy the intrinsically designed Elder Park/Tarntanya, which is set to surprise and delight with activations and art installations building up to the headlining spectacle that is SILENCE!.”
“We want spectators to feel like they’ve entered into a new world when they step inside SILENCE !,” Michelle shares.
While Momentarily’s Stuart Duckworth, says ““It’s an incredible opportunity to launch the festival season with such a significant project, we’re thrilled to introduce the new concept of SILENCE ! which is unlike anything else seen before in Adelaide.”
“We want to leave concert-goers mesmerised by Les Commandos Percu’s massive pyrotechnic, fireworks and percussion performance, just like I was after the first time I was lucky enough to see it in Europe,” Stuart recalls.
SILENCE ! will be showing from Friday 17 through to Sunday 19 February from 5:30pm to 10:30pm as part of the Adelaide Fringe in 2023. Tickets are sure-fire essential!
