It’s that time of the year – music festivals in Adelaide are rampant, and we’re not mad about it. Earlier this month Wildlands came to Radelaide for the first time ever, in a few weeks Lorde is headlining Adelaide Festival, the beloved WOMADelaide is on its way for March, and of course, trusty St Jerome’s Laneway Festival Adelaide will be back in February too.
It’s the music festival that we all know and love, the one we can rely on, the one that’ll pick us up when we’re down. Laneway Festival is never not a good time, and it’s descending upon Bonython Park on the outskirts of the CBD for the first time since 2020 – cheers Covid.
The 2023 Laneway Festival will be churning out a downright decent line-up of artists across multiple genres on Friday 10 February, and the full musical concoction includes:
- Haim
- Joji
- Phoebe Bridgers
- Finneas
- Fontaines D.C
- Fred Again
- Girl In Red
- Slowthai
- Turnstile
- The Jungle Giants
- 100 Gecs
- Chaos In The CBD
- Knucks
- Mallrat
- Ross From Friends
- The Beths
- Yard Act
- The Backseat Lovers
- Harvey Sutherland
- Jacotene
- JamesJamesJames
- Logic1000
- Sycco
- Tasman Keith
- The Lazy Eyes
The 25 local, interstate, and international artists are solid, to say the least. And those aged 16 and over can get around the boppin’ day and night – given that under 18s are accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 25.
St Jerome’s Laneway Festival is also touring other Australian cities and New Zealand, with tour dates including:
- Auckland – 18 January, Albert Park
- Brisbane – 4 February, Brisbane Showgrounds
- Sydney – 5 February, Sydney Showgrounds
- Melbourne – 11 February, The Park at Flemington
- Perth – 12 February, Wellington Square
Laneway Festival co-founder, Danny Rogers says, “We are absolutely pumped to host music fans and our favourite ever line-up on these new sites.”
