The world-renowned wine region of McLaren Vale has a whole lot to offer in terms of wine, great food and produce, and even an entire festival that pays homage to International Left Hander’s Day. Mollydooker Wines in the Vale will be hosting their second Left Fest on Saturday 12 August, after the inaugural success in 2022.
The celebration will be complete with Mollydooker wines, food trucks and family friendly entertainment. And it’s definitely not a Left Fest without the live tunes being spun by Lucas Day, six-piece band All About Her, and an evening DJ set by Fresh FM host Dave Collins.
In terms of food, you won’t be going hungry, with food trucks food Sooki La La, Taco Cartel, and Smokin’ It Up dishing out their juicy cuisine throughout the eight-hour Fest – to compliment the big, bold reds, of course.
While you’re busy enjoying the fine ‘Dooker wines poured from the outdoor wine bar, unlimited arcade games, mini-golf, and a spot of face painting will keep the keeps entertained.
Mollydooker Wines CEO and Chief Winemaker, Sarah Marquis shares, “With Mollydooker being Aussie slang for a left-hander, we thought it only fitting to celebrate the day the way we know best; music, good food, dancing and of course, great wine.”
“To celebrate the left handers joining us, we will have a complimentary glass of our world-famous Boxer Shiraz available to all those left-handed, if of course they can prove so on the day by completing our lefty test.”
But don’t fret, rightys are welcome too!
The lefty’s bash is set to commence at 12pm and run through until 8pm, giving you a good window of time to get stuck into the festivities. And not to worry about transportation – a return bus service to The Arkaba Hotel and The Marion Hotel will be available for purchase along with your festival ticket.
Shake off those winter chills and make your way down to enjoy the panoramic views of McLaren Vale at the picturesque Mollydooker winery.
